"German Red Cross Rhein Sieg goes English"

The number of English speakers in our local community is constantly growing. Therefore the German Red Cross Regional office wishes to invite those with limited understanding of German language for a First Aid course thought in English. The syllabus is identical to the general German First Aid course and covers the following topics:

• General First Aid requirements
• Approaching the casualty
• Emergency Call
• Unconsciousness and recovery position
• Breathing difficulties
• Circulary collapse and CPR
• Wounds and dressings
• ShockFractures and joint injuries

The course lasts for 16 hours and includes mainly practical aspects; therefore hard wearing cloth should be worn. The provision of theoretical background information will be kept to an essential minimum.At the end of the course each successful participant will receive a certificate of attendance that can be used for various driving and trainer licences, as well as recognition for First Aid at Work.
